Importance of education has been the topic of discussion for decades. Have we actually done anything about it? Yes there have been certain steps that the government has taken in order to motivate and encourage girls into the field of education. Earlier the orthodox thinking of people especially in the rural areas led to the notion that girls should not be educated as their main focus should always be to take care of the family, cook for the family and help the children to grow. The continuous effort made by the government and the people themselves to make them understand the importance of educating a girl child is commendable. The primary and the basic reason is when you educate a girl child, you educate the entire family since the girl will firstly help by teaching her brothers and sisters and once she gets married she can help in educating her children.
