Activities that can help lower the anxiety levels and stress

Parents and teachers look for the signs of any anxiety or stress and then help them come out of it. Here, are few things that can help them.

A well-balanced diet

A well-balanced diet helps to maintain a good healthy body. Sometimes, our body is deficient in some minerals or vitamins that trigger stress levels and anxiety and when we fulfill those requirements then the body automatically gives a good response. A child needs a healthy diet that is full of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and nuts. Instead, they are more inclined towards high fat, high sugar, spicy foods such as burgers, French fries, noodles, momos, pizzas, etc. This actually increases their anxiety as it disturbs the hormonal balance. Mostly, all the best school in Noida emphasizes on the diet of children in order to maintain their physical and mental health.

Proper sleep

A child requires a sound sleep of at least 8 hours for the proper functioning of the body. When they sleep less than that and keep studying the entire day without rest then the brain and rest of the body get overwhelmed and whatever they have studied doesn’t get registered as much. The eyes become swollen, children have headaches, they feel sleepy the entire time, they have difficulty in understanding and they also have problems in recalling what they have studied.

Appropriate breaks at regular intervals

When a child is preparing for an exam, usually they keep studying continuously without a break which is not good; they should take a break of at least 10 minutes in every two hours so that their brain gets refreshed. Also, they should drink a lot of water so that the body doesn’t get dehydrated and the brain gets enough oxygen to study.

Maintain a healthy atmosphere at home

While a child is having exams, having a healthy atmosphere at home is absolutely necessary. People shouldn’t argue or fight which makes it difficult to concentrate. The rest of the family members should avoid watching television as it distracts the child. Parents should show confidence in the child and they should regularly boost their confidence. Further, parents should help them to learn and volunteer to help them in revision. This really helps the children to reduce their anxiety and stress levels during exams.
